Telltales Newsletter Winter 2010

Well summer has finally deserted us but do not despair.

Over the last few months Allsailers - both club members and students and friends have had a great time improving their skills - cruising on Pittwater, racing (and winning regularly)IMG_0220 in twilight races, the Audi Sydney Harbour Series, Sail Port Stephens Regatta and the Pittwater Regatta and on Two Day overnight onboard trips to Sydney Harbour.

Gold members have had a great time cruising and overnighting on Allsail's Beneteau 39 THE FROG around Pittwater, Broken Bay and Cowan Creek.

Pandamonium and her regular crew the two Geoffs, Colin and Bob were crowned club champions at the recent presentation BBQ at Bayview - and our many prizes from twilight and other races were raffled off to attending members.

As we said do not despair as there's plenty on in winter at Allsail - with beautiful Pittwater even less crowded and the steadier winds of winter.

Club sailing, club racing and sail training continues throughout winter at Allsail every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Call Tony to book your spot - especially for the June long weekend.

But for those of you who are looking for racing or cruising in warmer waters Allsail has the sailing package for you.

Croatia - Cruising in June - Regatta Racing in October 2010

Allsail's Yachting Adventure to Croatia in June 2010 is full – 22 Allsailers are already on their way to the best cruising grounds in the word for some Mediterranean cruising, eating, drinking and sightseeing on luxury 45 footers.

But there is another chance to do Croatia this year.

bavcupBavaria yachts Australia have appointed Allsail to manage the Australian team participating in the International Bavaria Cup in Croatia the last week of October - 9 days, 8 races, most meals and entertainment included from only $2480 per person.

For the first Australian participation in this event we have reserved a Bavaria Match 42 and a Bavaria 47 - both competing with spinnakers. Last year 24 yachts with crews from 9 countries competed - the target this year is for 40.

Bavaria Yachts Australia is underwriting the cost this year - and it’s at the end of the season so the wind is up – but costs are down. If you're a semi serious racer or couple this value Med regatta is for you.

Ask us for a detailed flyer.

Cruising Canada - June 2011

Allsail's overseas cruising Adventure in 2011 is in Canada – cruising from Vancouver Island up the Straits of Georgia towards Alaska. See the Gulf islands, BC’s Sunshine Coast, the fjords and waterfalls of Princess Louisa Inlet and beautiful eerie bays of Desolation Sound.

Orcas, bears and real frontier towns, restaurants and pubs - and the sun doesn’t set till late.

For something completely different come cruising with Allsail on luxury Bavaria yachts. Starting from $3080 per person. More details soon or call us to express your interest.
